What Is the Galleri Test?

The Galleri® test is a blood test developed by GRAIL that looks for a shared cancer signal across more than 50 types of cancer, many of which do not have recommended routine screening today. It is intended to be used alongside, not in place of, your regular recommended cancer screenings.

1. Simple Blood Draw

A single blood sample is collected during an office visit — no special preparation is required.

2. Lab Analysis

Your sample is sent to the lab, where it is analyzed for cell-free DNA patterns associated with cancer.

3. Results & Follow-Up

Dr. Hourizadeh reviews your results with you and coordinates any recommended follow-up care.

Who May Consider Testing

Is Galleri Right for You?

The Galleri test is intended for adults with an elevated risk of cancer, such as those age 50 and older. It is available by physician order and is not intended for people already diagnosed with cancer.

Please note: The Galleri test is not a substitute for your recommended cancer screenings, such as mammograms or colonoscopies. It does not detect all cancers, and a “no cancer signal detected” result does not rule out cancer. A “cancer signal detected” result requires additional diagnostic testing to confirm a diagnosis. This test is intended to be used in addition to, not instead of, guideline-recommended screening.
